Michigan Contractor License or Permit Bond

Contractor license and permit bonds are required across the state of Michigan for many types of construction projects including building, sidewalk, sewer, asphalt, concretes and many other project types. Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Chesterfield Township, Davison Township, Fort Gratiot, Genesee County, Livingston County, Royal Oak, and St. Clair Shores are among the jurisdictions requiring contractor surety bonds in the state.

If the bond is for a specific project that you are bidding on, or a contract that has been awarded to you, the surety bond you need is a Contract/Construction Bond rather than a Contractor License Bond.
