The blanket surety bond must be in a penal sum of as determined by the Department of Education using a specific formula. The surety bond ensures that the private educational institution operates its institution as authorized by and in conformity with the all rules and regulations promulgated by the Department of Education and all provisions of the Florida Statutes. If the school operates in compliance with the Florida K-20 Education Code and all rules and regulations and any damages are promptly paid as required by the state of Florida, then this obligation will be null and void.
