Fuel Tax Bonds are types of surety bonds required by the Oklahoma Tax Commission to guarantee payment of all fuel taxes, penalties and interest due the State of Oklahoma. A Motor Fuel Tax Bond is issued for those who must comply with motor fuel tax laws pursuant to Title 68 O.S. 2096, Section 500.1 et seq., the "Motor Fuel Tax Code." A Gasoline and/or Diesel Fuel Tax (Distributor) Bond is issued to Transporters for Hire of gasoline or motor fuel/diesel fuel. A Special Fuel Use Excise Tax is issued to dealers in and/or users of special fuel in the State of Oklahoma. A Gross Production Tax Bond is issued to producers, purchasers, transporters, refiners, or reclaimers of products subject to Gross Production Tax produced in the State of Oklahoma.
