A Manufactured Home Dealer Bond is a type of surety bond that must be furnished to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services Manufactured Home Unit. The surety bond is required for Manufactured Home Dealers duly licensed and authorized to transact business in the State of Wisconsin and is written for the benefit of aggrieved parties as defined in Chapter 218 Wisconsin Statutes and Department of Safety and Professional Services. Surety bond coverage amounts are; $50,000 for new dealers (non-broker dealers), and $25,000 for new broker dealers (also known as broker-restricted). Surety bond coverage for existing dealers is based on the number of manufactured homes sold in the last twelve months and should be verified with the Department prior to requesting a quote.
