What is an Ohio Pawnbroker Bond?
A Pawnbroker's Surety Bond is required by Section 4727.20 of the Ohio Revised Code. The surety bond is written in favor of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, State of Ohio, in the penal sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000). The Pawnbroker's Surety Bond is issued for the exclusive benefit of any person harmed financially by the principal's violation of any provision of Chapter 4727 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio.
