What is a Wyoming Non-Resident Employer Bond?

The Wyoming Department of Workforce services requires a surety bond in lieu of a security or cash deposit per Wyoming Statues Title 27 Labor and Employment.

The bond amount starts at a minimum of $8,000 and goes up based on the monthly payroll (and anticipated monthly payroll in the coming 24 months). The bond is for "for the use and benefit of the Workers' Compensation Fund, Occupational Health and Safety Division(Wyoming Industrial Accident Fund), Unemployment Insurance Fund, and Labor Standards Division, to insure payment of wages or debts in the State of Wyoming."
