Louisiana Boxing and Wrestling Promoter Bonds

What is a Louisiana Boxing or Wrestling Promoter Bond?

The Louisiana State Boxing and Wrestling Commission requires a surety bond as a security of good faith to abide by the terms and provisions of this state laws. The surety bond is mandated with the issuance of a promoter's license to hold, conduct, or give boxing, mixed technique event, and wrestling contests or exhibitions in the state. The standard bond amount may be increased by the commission based upon the seating capacity of the hall or facility where the contest or exhibition is to be conducted. The commission may also require a surety bond from certain clubs for the faithful performance of all contracts entered into and approved by the commission. The performance bond required of a club may be in an amount up to the total amount of all professional boxing contracts entered into by that club.
