A Boxing, MMA or Wrestling Event Promoter Bond is a type of surety bond required for those having applied to the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission of the State of Oklahoma for a license to conduct exhibitions in Oklahoma in accordance with statute pertaining thereto, found in Title 3A O.S. Supplemental 1995 Sections 601 et. Seq. of the Oklahoma Statutes. Before a permit or license is granted, a bond in the coverage amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) must be filed with Oklahoma State Athletic Commission of the State of Oklahoma. The surety bond is for those engaged in business as a Promoter as defined by Oklahoma statutes to ensure faithful performance by the promoter of all duties and responsibilities. The Boxing, MMA or Wrestling Event Promoter Bond guarantees the bonded promoter's payment of taxes, fees, fines and other money due, including contributions for insurance, pensions, disability and medical examinations, payment of purses to the competitors, repayment of ticket holders of purchased tickets, and the payment of fees to ring officials and physicians.
